Evening Public Ledger,

Philadelphia
ZIONIST WORKING FOR WORLD PEACE. Dr. Chaim Weizzman, English Leader, Says Palestine Can Play Important Part. Near East Feeling Unrest. – “We of the Zionist are working for and deeply interested in world peace”, declared Dr. Chaim Weizzman, of Manchester, Eng., today. “How could we do otherwise when the Jewish community finds its frontiers at San Francisco and its hinterland: runs from the Pacific coast cast to Palestine?”.
Dr. Weizzman negotiated the British mandatory for Palestine and obtained the framing of Great Britain’s present policy of peaceful policing, pending the establishment of a permanent capital for Judaism in that country. He is in Philadelphia in the interest of the Zionist movement and has obtained pledges of large sums of money here and elsewhere for pushing the work of rehabilitating the old and founding the new regime.
